sP20-in : a pellet insert with natural convection | es

The sP20-in is the third appliance in the sP20 range. It shares the same design concept and a significant portion of its components. Same flower burner©, same natural convection. The format changed ; the design logic did not.

One principle, three expressions

The sP20 range starts from choices made before each format was defined. Natural convection, the flower burner© and a shared technical platform across the three appliances are not coincidences. This is how Stûv designs a product family.

The sP20-S has an elongated architectural form, a 15 kg hopper and natural convection heat distribution. The sP20-B is more compact, with a 32 kg hopper and four-level ducted air distribution to heat several rooms. The sP20-in is a built-in insert, 18 kg front-loading hopper, natural convection.

Three formats, three autonomy levels, three heat distribution modes. One shared platform.

Shared components, a commitment to industrial design

The three sP20 appliances share a large number of components, including the combustion chamber. This is what industrial design means at Stûv : building a product family from a coherent technical base, then adapting it to distinct formats and use cases.

Two practical results follow. It enables economies of scale in component manufacturing. It also ensures lasting parts availability for servicing, whichever model is chosen.

The flower burner© in a built-in insert

The flower burner© is present in all three appliances. In the sP20-in, it produces a visible, readable flame even at standard heat output. In an insert, the flame is framed by the recess and the glass. The flower burner© is designed so the flame remains present at every output level.

The 18 kg hopper loads from the front, with no side or top access required. Minimum recess depth is 470 mm, flue diameter Ø 80 mm. The sP20-in fits existing s30-in recesses.
